{Game idea} Battle Tournament
#1
My, my. All this creativity in the air is making me ticklish.
So I'm gonna throw my smaller design in the lot.
But first, since none of you knows me,
I'm a passionate designer and a writer, even if only a "wannabe".
Self-learn(ed/ing) C++/Ruby programmer. And just a dash of graphic artist.
I'm the dark tall and handsome type, so I spent the past 5 or so years developing said skills. Only recently to come out of solitude, looking for teams to gain experience and to pursue my ambitions with.

Now about the idea.
There are very few fighting games that utilize tournament or rpg systems. Both of which I've been fascinated with since childhood.
So i want to make a manager/fighting game with deep rpg elements.
The best approximation to the whole idea idea would be Pro evolution soccer 2012,With its 3 game modes and general sport organization.
Depending on what help I find here, if any, the project will take a different path. Maybe even use a classic rpg battle system, but like I said, depends on the help i can find.

As a fighter the player would have to fight his way to fame and fortune, in classical 1v1 battles, and taking part of martial arts tournaments.

As a manager the player wont take part in any of the fighting. Instead overseeing the training of his subordinates, and contracting new fighters, striving to pave the way for the strongest fighters ever born!

As an owner the player's only goal is to accumulate riches and power. By arranging tournaments and fights, making sure to provide the financial backing his subordinate managers need to train their pupils. Trough force if need be!

And I could keep talking about this all night, but its not gonna get us anywhere.

Oh, yes! I nearly forgot. I actually have a short demo I made in the past. This illustrates how a given tournament might look.

And just for the record, you will need rpg maker xp RTP installed to run it.
Hello, community.
I'm a freelance programmer looking for projects to participate in.
I don't require any payment, needless to say its appreciated. I'm doing this so i can wrack up a few completed games, make some connections and compare other people's methods to my own.
