and how do you actually rip and animate them?
i would recommend you to turn off all the layers except the one with the monster with "desmume" and then use "animget" to get each frame...
delete the unnecessary frames and resize the remaining to 50% of their size...
remove black background (which you should do while you resize them) and animate with "beneton movie gif"...
then just crop the animation with "Jasc Animation Shop 3" to the animated space...
thats how i do it and i think its a fast method...
if you know a faster one let me know thought... xD

my desmume was resized a bit which made Cruelcumber a little bigger then he realy is...

I guess, you are referring to this one:

There's some confusion about it, because Balhib was translated as 'GoldGolem' in DQM. The Golem i posted has already been in the first Dragon Quest game, but he was called Goldman (at least in the US).

For the icons, i recommend using Barubary's Icon Maker (Link). It's easy as pie with that.

did you managed to change the background color?
i ask because the color of snails background was pink...
i removed the background and made the icon with the correct name (excuse to try "icon maker" xD)...

@Xtreme1992 - Yes, it's mostly there to help people... But you mentioning it has reminded me it was pretty redundant when it's already in the exact dimensions in each file, haha XD

And thanks for fixing the icon and color background. Also, I haven't forgotten about the background hack - I'm just having a hard time doing it right now (My emulator keeps crashing when I try to search, argh).

Looks like I may have found an easier way to rip these. So here's Boreal Serpent for now:




MODS: I'll try uploading to Sendspace later, but right now this computer isn't letting me upload anything to Sendspace, min.us, or any other upload site. I don't know what the heck is wrong with it. Time for virus check / disabling useless firewall, methinks.
