CHECK it. Another submission for the Cartoon Network customs section. I worked on this with Blender.

Not like it used to, but the Summer Resort Games are still on their server.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I opened it, I was impressed! I like the way you textured each side of the cubes.

My only issue with the model is that the textures themselves could use some improvement. The "C" and "N" in the textures are nice and smooth, but then right next to it you have a pixelated piano and such, and it really stands out in a bad way. Another issue is the "seams" in the texture, between the faces of the cube. When you put together the texture, you left some gaps where the background color shows through. Since the background color is the exact opposite of the main color, you get very noticeable lines around the edge of each face of the cube. The best thing to do would be change the background color to match the main color of the texture. (Of course, this will make it hard to locate the edges of the different squares, so I recommend doing this last.) Also, the edge of the disc player image seems messed up. The last issue is a minor one. If the shape of the letters is done entirely with polygons, what's the point of having a hi-res texture of the full name if you only see pure black anyway? Tongue It seems like a waste of space.

Otherwise, nice job. I look forward to seeing you improve it so I can accept it to the site. Big Grin

Added another logo, the first logo that was broadcast in 1992 (twenty years ago). I also changed the name of the thread from "Cartoon Network logo" to "Cartoon Network logos".

I might not promise the Absolution be rendered, but I am also working on the second logo and TOM.

Update: Added old school logo 2.

Update 2: Updated post 1 with the fixed textures. All I did was trace the texture images with Inkscape and save them over.

Nicely done on the new ones, and the textures you fixed look much better. Just how many logos has Cartoon Network gone through?

Only three that were broadcast on TV. The presentation reel from 1991 had a logo planned before the network chose the checkerboard pattern in 1992.

I finally got around to uploading these. Nice job on them.

However, keep in mind that these are a bit of a special case. The reason they're being allowed on the site is due to the number of games that Cartoon Network has created. (This is the same reason for the Dragon Ball customs.)
