I have to be honest, I never really cared much for hades' design until his head was on fire.

I haven't gotten the game yet, but I hear that Pit says the hosPITal is named after him.
I really like the character designs on the multiplayer dudes also.

well this game looks and sounds rad. this is good in my book since we never gotten a game that looked or sounded rad since sonic generations, the 90s era and the 80s era. i could be wrong however...

I don't have this game yet, but I played it on my friend's 3DS yesterday. Want. Do want. It was incredibly fun, although hard to get used to.

I do have to say, though, that I think the main reason the 3DS sales aren't going well is because of Nintendo's reaction to the fact that the 3DS isn't selling well. Because it initially didn't sell as well as they hoped, they're reluctant to release new titles onto it (as we've seen with 2 (technically 3) new Pokemon games being developed for DS instead), and thus the 3DS suffers further because people have no incentive to buy one. I hope this game does something to improve that.

Well, for Pokemon B&W2, they already explained that. People who played the first B&W already have a DS, so making the sequel on the same system would result in the most sales.

I honestly don't think Nintendo is continuing to make DS games because the 3DS isn't selling well (which if I recall isn't the case anymore), I think it's because the games that they are making for the DS wouldn't make use of the 3D or the tech that the 3DS has to offer. Lets face it, if they made a basic DS game for the 3DS, plenty of people would complain, and they know it.

Theres also the fact that, when a new system comes out, they do tend to make games for the old one for a while after. I mean, when did they finally stop making PS2 games after the PS3?

I'm pretty sure there is still a market for the DS

I mean, a console doesn't just "die" when a new console comes out. That's just a bluntly stupid thing to say no matter what. I'm going to give it another year for the DS to get a few new titles since the 3ds is still fairly new to everyone.

Back to Kid Icarus I am tempted to get this game at some point. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on it soon.

The 3DS is not popluar enough to kill the DS sales. I think it might take at least 2 years for the DS to die. That is if Nintendo doesn't create a new DS since the 3DS is said to cause health problems.

About Kid Icarus. I played the first two games, and I loved them. I can't wait to play Uprising.

Make an all new DS for those too lazy to turn the 3D slider to "off"?

A clever way to re-state "there is still a market for the DS" in my last post.

Also I hardly see how creating a new 3ds will simply kill off the DS entirely. You still have to consider that they want to keep the 3D part of it, hence why they gave out warnings about the 3D mode.

I have cleared all chapters (int. 5.0 or higher), obtained 350+ idols and blazed through most of the challenges.
When you get used to the controls, it's a blast! The style, gameplay and humor (even if the jokes are cheesy or corny) give me the feeling it is made for gamers like me. This is what a Nintendo game should be.

What I like about the cheesiness of the jokes is that the game also makes fun of itself for them. Sometimes the corniness level gets so high that all the characters just have an awkward silence and stop themselves.

What I also like is how serious the game can be too. There's high stakes, and they don't embellish things like death by glazing over it with some kiddy explanation. People die through the course of battle and the game acknowledges it. I think that's pretty cool, especially for a Nintendo game.

So am I the only one who wants a Kid Icarus stage in the next SSB that has the gods in the BG, or on the alt screen (controller screen for WiiU version, bottom screen for 3DS) talking about the fight and what not?

Here's a list of all the Kid Icarus stuff I want in a Smash Bros game now that I've played Uprising:

I have to stop doing this whenever someone brings up Smash Brothers, I have a serious problem. Ouch!
