Well, the good news is that the Ripple Castle theme is popular enough to appear in this game.

it's ok to suck, sucking is not bad, just try and aim to always do your best!
@Drshnaps: What about Factory Investigation? Does that count?

@E-Man: You can imagine my surprise when I recognized that track. I was all like "Wait... we at Ripple Star now or something?".
Speaking of Triple Deluxe, here's a couple of faves from that game.

Quote:Toy Rhythm (Stage 2-2) <-- Have some toy-boppin'.

_DIRTY&BEAUTY_ <-- My quips can't give the track justice. Just listen to it.
NOTE: This is the OST release version of the track. Hence why we hear Queen Sectonia's laughter in the middle.
Obsessed With Unattainable Beauty <-- ...And somewhere, Kazami Yuuka is crying tears of joy.

i actually think this might be one of the best kirby theme's ever'

it's so dark and beserk, and very revolutionary sounding fot it's time of release ( bass is sick ) without even trying to be really,

like for example galacta knight's theme ( which i also love, but is just a bit too much )

Sure, the game has plenty of other good songs I didn't bother to mention. I'm actually partial to the mid-boss and standard boss musics as well. Another one I really like is the one from the Bumper Crop mini-game:

It's just fun.

Say what you will about Sticker Star, the music is awesome.

So I took the time to listen to some Super Metroid music, since I never played the game, and I have to say the OST is pretty damn spectacular. So atmospheric , and it definitely captures a deep mood.

I'm going to have to try this game one of these days. I hear it's contending as being better than Ocarina of Time, according to posts on GameSpot.

Time for some music from the PC game that no-one played, Outcast. They got a full orchestra to do the soundtrack and it really does sound like stuff out of a movie, but without being completely bland like a lot of orchestral soundtracks tend to be in games:

I never liked the portion with the drums but the rest is really good.

Also these tracks that are on my golden list for this game:

Above the Clouds

Definitely the best Butter Building remix I've ever heard, it's very uplifting.

Inside the Ruins

So funky and yet so Kirby-ish, who doesn't love the idea of a neon-techno desert ruin

Mountain Stream

I actually didn't realize it was a remix of KDL3's Green Greens until I went to search for it but now that I know that it's definitely better

Not trying to backseat mod or anything, but I'd like to ask people to post any embedded videos inside spoiler tags. It's annoying to have to load all the videos on the page every time I check this thread, as well as reply to it and preview my replies. For me it takes about 15-25 seconds (for this page) which is already a bit bothersome, but it could be much more significant to those with slower internet connections and/or computers.

Anyway I've been listening to Souleye's new album MMMMMM, which is a complete metal cover of PPPPPP (VVVVVV's soundtrack) made by him and Jules "FamilyJules7X" Conroy. I don't usually listen to much metal but this is really awesome.

Also, on the subject of the letter M, here's some Miracle Mask music:

I literally stumbled upon it within an hour of its release when I finally decided to buy PPPPPP (The VVVVVV soundtrack). I bought a lot of letters that day...

Since there's already most of my favorite Kirby 64 music being mentioned I'll throw another nice track out here:

Ripple Star's map theme

It took me a while to notice it, but the music has a strange simultaneous happy/sad feel with a mildly unsettling/dark undertone given by its beat instruments (i'm not sure the actual musical term for it).

Which, is says everything that needed to be said about what Ripple star IS (at that point in time).

My only problem with the song is its too short... I'd have loved a full stage music length version.

I think quite a few tracks in these thread aren't being given full justice, because the context the tunes are used in can make a good song even better, or even make a meh sound excellent just because of the atmosphere it adds.

Side note: Am I the only one that wished Bumper Crop's music was paired with the floor removing mini-game instead, thus sticking the (arguably) best mini-game music with the best mini-game? (Gourmet race works best with the one it had though)
