((SPOILER WARNING IN THE FOLLOWING LINK!! There are two characters in this game returning from 999, so you're going to get spoiled a bit for both of them if you read onward!))

((/SPOILERwarning))

Logistics: it's an updated version of the Nonary Game where instead of working together to solve puzzles, you're partnered up and you can betray each other. This is the Ambidex game.

If you both choose to cooperate, you both receive points on your bangle. If you betray your partner while they cooperate, you get more points while they lose points. If you both try to betray each other, no points are awarded. If you get nine points, you can escape. If you have zero points, you die.

The game takes a much different turn from the original 999 by being in full 3D rather than using 2D spritework. This means it's of course going to be on the 3DS, but you PSVita guys are also in luck since it's getting ported to that system as well.

Again, we've got two returning characters. Clover's back in this somehow, and
Of course, this is neglecting to mention the return of Zero, who's going for more of the Jigsaw approach and is using a rabbit to do his bidding.

Either way, this is being developed right now for Japan, but the company behind this game knows that 999 was really popular overseas so expect a port in the future!

I'm beyond excited for this. 999 was one of the best games I've played, and it just makes me beyond happy to see a sequel~

I don't remember them making any announcement for this game being released for the West prior to this...

but then again I kind of stumbled upon the recent announcement by chance and hadn't followed the game all that much since the thread was made so I forget the supposed release dates !!
