Non Existing Video Games You Would Love To Have
I don't understand how Pokemon battles have any less skill because they're less action oriented. That isn't making any sense to me at all.

It's not that they require less skill, it's just that they're much more tedious and by midgame, I'm sick of it. I think the action bar would add a lot of strategy and rekindle the dying flame of the mechanics of Pokemon battle.

I dunno. I kind of like the fact that it doesn't have an action bar. I never really got behind games that included them.

And I don't think it's the battles that make Pokemon games a trudge by midgame. But they are definitely bogged down by then.

Kirby 64???

Kirby's Dreamland 4 with the partner mechanic (Pitch, Gooey, Chu Chu and the others), items to find to complete the level missions, more stuff and etc. is what I meant.

It would also be nice just to see Kirby's friends return.

K64 had Adeleine, Dedede, and a Waddle Dee who all performed specific friend rolls, as well as having the sculpture ability which could transform Kirby into his former allies.

Isn't Kirby's Return to Dreamland like that anyway?

kirby64 replaced partner based objetives with skill-specific objetives. in the end, it was the same thing, albeit k64 is even more easier than Dreamland 3.

I would just love it if the game wasn't just some mind virus, but a real game. Maybe then, it wouldn't be impossible to win. Very Sad

In all seriousness, I just wished the Ocarina of Time remake happened on the DS instead. (And the HUD might have stayed on the top screen too! That really irked me in the 3DS port.) Maybe if chinese pirates hadn't made it so cheap and easy to try out all the lame shovelware on that system, the eggheads at Nintendo probably would have considered it. They're normally not that hesitant to turn down a port that'd rake in the profits. I still remember when people even signed a petition of 15,000 signatures, just asking Nintendo to make a Smash Bros. experience for the DS. But why bother when half of your fans were just going to download it for free instead?

Ah well, at least they managed to release Pokemon Black and Mario Kart DS before the 3DS came out. Those are about the only games I still play on my DS, the rest I traded in for Pokemon Black! =P Best thing that's happened to the series since Blue/Red, IMO.

I dunno, with all of the stuff added from second gen and third gen that are still used today, I don't really see how people can claim that there has been no good Pokemon game since gen 1.

Because the designs now are shite. With a few exceptions.

Also because adding does not make better, and shit has gotten way too bothersome for me to even attempt figuring out.

I think you got that in reverse; the art in Red/Blue was awful, and it didn't get any better in Yellow either. xD Unless you're just referring to the designs outside of the in-game art, then I can see you have a point there.

And I never said 2nd/3rd gen was bad either, but all they did was just add-on to the experience; nothing else. Despite how much I liked Platinum, it still didn't excite me as much as the earlier games did. Pokemon Black finally took the original experience to the next level, it felt like a completely new Pokemon game altogether, if not at least visually. (You have no idea how badly I wanted animated sprites and 3D environments in-battle before Black was even announced.) Then if that wasn't good enough, they finally put together a decent story with an actual plot twist and the coolest legendaries I've seen since Mewtwo. (A predictable plot, yes, but better than no plot, like Gold/Silver/Red/Blue/Yellow/Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire/Platinum/Diamond/Pearl/etc.) I actually played through it more than once just because of the story, and we're still talking about a Pokemon game here!

But I digress! I'm going off-topic. Another game I wish existed is Sonic Xtreme. Yeah, it would have been the black sheep of 'em all if development wasn't screw from the start, but at least I'd have something other than Nights and Panzer Dragoon to play on the SEGA Saturn. :/

I'm also relieved that Black was compatible with DS Lite. What I find surprising it how pixelated the sprites are.

What I'd like to see was a new Fallout game using the old 1 and 2 mechanics. The new system doesn't suck, it's real nice with 1st person, real-time, VAT-assisted battling, but I'd like to see what can be done nowadays with the old turn-based system.

This can be said with some games, I'd like to see what a modern Zelda would be like with the same mechanics as LoZ: Link to the Past, that would be intresting.

Arcade-Styled Pokemon fighting game using only the Pokemon with Fighting as one of their types, plus Ditto.
