ok guys im new here and i made a research on the forum and well since my english isnt flawless. i have a silly question.

what to do about sprites ripped for a game and only they use the sprites there and dont post them. and then someone ripped them again? (i mean sprites ripped for a game ripped from that game again).

i ask this because i dont want to submit a sprite that in someway breaks the rule. but how its this? well one of main search its find Albus Sprites From Castlevania Order of Ecclesia and since i have DS i dont play them on emulator, Then i find "Castlevania Fighters" by Serio, and hey have tons of nice sprites from castlevania and that includes Albus. i ripped all albus poses (the game its seems he dont have the laughting poses) But then again i dont going to post them since those sprites was ripped before (recolored them because albus sprites seems to be a bit darker) to be used on that Game, and then i ripped them since Author "locks" any way to rip those sprites.

So what would be the situation for those kind of sprites?

When someone else's already ripped a sprite you want, then you should ask him if you can use his rips. Don't go posting/using other's works without permission, as it counts as stealing, and you'll be punished as such.

well i would do that but lot of people do that before. and he dont want to give them. but that why im asking since he (because im not sure if he ripped all the sprites tought) ripped the sprites from the original Game and then since nobody have ripped them before i have to ripped them from his game. but well you said already that. the sprites have been ripped (assuming he ripped them since he want to give him credits for the sprites ripped but he dont post them on his site.). also of course i know about give credit because i dont like people stealing works. that happened me to me before with a mod i was working for doom and its really annoying someone come and take your decorate program without saying at least from what mod comes that decorate.
