The game is an alternative to Pokémon as some people said. That's as stupid as saying Pepsi is a Coke ripoff. They're alternatives.

Does he have ripped graphics from other game? Then do your job and tell it to the developer so he can replace it for an original stuff. And stop bitching at the move names because afaik, those names aren't covered by lawsuit and even then, I believe they're different enough not to be considered a ripoff.

in the end we should congratulate him for making this ANOTHER alternative of pokemon. even when basically, its the same exact shit albeit with uglier desings and names taken out of a bag of scribble.

man, web based MMO's should had died years ago, why do people still insist on this kind of thing gies beyond me.

Proton you are right about the website theme. I know it is very low quality. But hiring pro artists requires money (requires time to gather) and also not only having the website as PSD (images) solves your problem. You also need to have necessary coding skills. I started with almost knowing nothing so the current design sucks and you can not make any good changes because of the structure. Right now i am negotiating with a pro website designer. Hopefully i will redesign the whole website Smile Here an example page that artist made

I'm just gonna leave a little comment here that you might want to mull over.

Your monsters aren't memorable at all. The second their off my screen, they've been forgotten. There's just no appealing charm to them. There's no way I'd remember them. Like, right off my head, I know what at least 300 of the Pokemon look like. Your guys... have nothing going for them, really.

well not everybody have to like them or like my game Smile But there are certainly some people loving them.

the problem is that desing wise they're basically a clusterfuck of random things tied together only by the fact that they're "monsters".

some of them look like magic entitites, others look like terrible mutations, and others look like a random halloween costume.

its pretty much the same with their names. as i said earlier, it sounds as if you grabbed random letters from a set of scrabble and just threw them over the table expecting to make something coherent.

the whole concept as a game spawns as a clone of pokemon, and you have worked your way not towards improving the gameplay but instead all you did was get all the licensed stuff covered by original graphics so you could still had a pokemon clone without being worried about nintendo or gamefrak throwing a cease and desist on your project. just like what happened with all these DOOM clones that spawned in the mid 90's, or basically, all the clones that have spawned from a "original" idea in the last 20 years or so of gaming development.

sure, you can argue that people enjoys ot and that not everyone can like it since thats how taste works etc etc etc. but so far it feels more like your only goal development wise is just to extend the original concept by just adding more monsters and more maps with fancier looks. wich is ironically the exact same path the original franchise is taking in their lattest installments.

all in all, and in a completely and absolute personal opinion wich you are probably not going to consider, web based MMO games are such a dull, completely lackluster "trend of a genre" that has been extended for so long that it escapes how or even why people would be consistent on playing them for a considerable amount of time.

Thanks for long reply but as i said my aim is not getting everybody like my game. Also i can guarantee you that my game concept will surpass the Nintendo's one in every way. We will have great features such as live tournaments daily, pvp maps where you can own other players without their permission and stuff like that. And about adding countless monsters you are right. I am aiming to have simply countless monsters to attract every kind of player attention. Everybody will find the monster they like most.

My biggest issue right now is the website theme. But i am going to hire a professional artist to redesign whole website theme from scratch. He will design as PSD and i will do the all coding.

And also i don't understand why it is so bad to make a similar game to another one in your eyes. Did you every play big PC games ? They are all very similar. 2 good example for you

Age Of Empires 2 = Empire Earth
Diablo 2 = Torch Light

and many other games. They are all very similar like my game.

Anyway i really do not care about similarity as long as laws do not prohibit.

Did you ever heard of KnightOnline ? The only reason of being successful of that sucky, crappy, buggy, glitchy game is the pvp system. Don't worry i know what players like most when it comes to PVP Wink
