An odd trio of adventurers on a quest to find a powerful magic stone left behind by a dead evil wizard before other, less likable adventurers find it.

A weird creepy jester like creature who is difficult to communicate with because he's vague and never directly answers questions. Nobody knows what he is, where he came from or what his motives are.
An elderly masked monk who was a member of some kind of order of monks that disbanded years ago, has lived in solitude in their old temple because he was unwilling to abandon the life style. Kind and good natured but he's gone slightly mad.
A woman that was transformed into a boulder by the evil wizard and forced to watch him destroy her village, she discovered that she could still use magic as a boulder and managed to save her son from the wizard, then gradually learned to use magic to move herself and manipulate objects. Very bitter and occasionally emotionally unstable.

Would appreciate criticism, especially on the monk because I'm having difficulty with him
edittt: they're all wip, btw

The contrast on the monk's cloak is rather ugly; the two shades should differ more. Liking the jester and boulder though.

For some reason, your style reminds me of MLSSS..

Maybe it's the smooth shading style that make it similar to M&L?

progress and stuff

I think the darkest shade on the boulder could also use a tiny bit more contrast as well.

As for why it might resemble M&L style, could be the black outline and the way internal lines are AA'ed.

I'd say the old eyes were better, because they stood out more.
But otherwise, the new head is better.

got a redundant purple shade on the mask. you can refine the shading's shape further.
the mask's face can still be better! Smile

the jester seems like the odd one out, idk if it's intentional or not.

the characters are all supposed to be unusual but I didn't think the group really had any other unifying design elements..
what do the other two have in common that the jester doesn't?
