The thing that I just realized about the Fire/Electric is that it would have an extreme weakness against Ground, while the other starters wouldn't have any extreme weaknesses.

Hey I think this is a great idea.

Also crossposting some stuff from MFGG I made a few pokemon of my own.

Quote:[Image: palkia.png]

#1-3 are Grass/flying and based off the Pterosaur

#4-6 are Fire/Dragon and based off the Komodo dragon

#7-9 are Water/Dark and based off the Squid and Vampire Squid

#10-12 are Bug/Grass and based off the Stick bug

#13-14 are Normal type and based off the Capybara with a little bit of Tasmanian devil design in it.

and finally not numbered are Grass/Ghost pumpkins!

on the topic of clouds... I had an idea a while back, a small pure-Flying cloud, that can evolve either sun stone or Moon Stone. Sun stone gets you a brown pokemon in the shape of a sunflower seed, with clouds for hands, and a tiny sun on it's forhead, and Moonstone got you a Lily seed shaped Pokemon, with one eye covered by cloud hair, and dark dreary clouds around it. The Sun Stone one then evolves via happiness to a small brown sprite thing (in the shape of the cotton Pokemon's final evo's body) sitting on a sunny cloud, with a sunflower on her chest, with Drought as her Ability. The moon stone one evolves the same way, same body shape, more dark clouds, with one eye still covered, and fog around it, it wears a lily pad on it's chest, and has the Ability Drizzle.

Clefairy may not be part flying, but the wings on clefairy/Clefable still exist. It would come to reason that a fairy should have some form of wings, functioning or not.

Hi BynineB!

also another idea I hatched up!

An Aphid Pokemon, and an Ant Pokemon, they share a relationship just like irl.

Aphid > Ant > Antlion (bug/ground)

but make the antlion more dragonfly like, and not flygon like.

Or just base it off the antlion larvae, and not the adult stage

Actually Koopaul I though fire types were a mixture of myths and what was popular at the time, like fire-breathing dragons and flaming monkey (myths) to echidnas and cock-fighting.

A set of ideas for:

Grass Starter - Reptilian:
Rinchenia
Chaoyangsaurus
Stegosaurus
Gharial
Skink
Frilled Lizard

Fire Starter - Pop Culture & Myths:
Sphinx
Yak/Ram
Lion
Mayan Mythological Animal???

Water Starter - Aquatic Non-Fish:
Dolphin
Hippopotamus
Platypus
Desman
Koolasuchus

Yeah I can't say what Fire types are, the only thing I'm certain of is that the Grass type has to be some kind of reptile. Either way I should update my list.

Also Skink seems more like a Ground type don't you think?

Let's try to avoid making similar Pokemon. After all there are plenty of animals out there that haven't been used.
