Ripping Questions
I meant the palette itself.
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

Not sure how to show that besides saving the Pallate, but here is a screenshot of the program itself.

EDIT: Just figured it out. Apparently I needed to select the pallate. It didn't automatically selected it like the tutorial said. Thank you anyway.

Well, as I saw some Final fantasy Dimensions sprites elsewhere, I figured it may be an ideal thing to get going on ripping from it. Thus far I have all the episodes, and have extracted the singular 'obb' file from it. However, I've hit a snag in dumping the data from that properly, anyone want to have a look at it?

I've been trying to rip sprites of Bucky O'Hare from his arcade game using this method. While I got all the tiles, putting them together is becoming difficult (as certain tiles aren't group together).

Is there another method to rip these sprites that I can use?

I'm afraid to say that I think that's the only method, at least to my knowledge, besides traditional animget/screenshot methods.

And from what I heard, Arcade Emulators don't have a layer system added to it, right?

Excuse me, little question.

I am currently using Animget to rip sprites and objects (currently working on the Sega Genesis game "Pulseman"), but the problem is that the spirtes ripped are usually blurred, and thus for every single one of them. Is there an option in the emulator (mine is Gens KMod v0.7c) or the program itself to prevent that? Or do I need to use paint/photoshop?
Thanked by:
Have you resized the emulator window?

Make sure that you have no filters on, the screen size is the default option (about 320x240, well 320x224 with borders) and disable the Fast Blur (due to the out of align window on the Option menu, you would have to open gens.cfg on NotePad and make sure Fast Blur=0 ). Also make sure Stretch is not ticked otherwise the sprites are stretched and blocky (it applies to games that have the 256x224 resolution, usually SNES ports). Since Pulseman is the usual MD resolution, you don't have to worry about that.

I used to use AnimGet myself and the sprites weren't blurry when I used GensKMod so yes, it is probably the fast blur.

I indeed resized the window, but I believe the problem is the one Yawackhary is talking about: the fast blur.
I'll download Notepad and follow those instructions, it'll probably work.

Stretch not ticked, fast blur=0. Thanks! I'll do that right away Smile

EDIT: THe fast blur was already at zero, and the stretch is at 0 too. Can the problem be located anywhere else?
EDIT 2: stretch's unticked properly therefore the problem might actually be in the resolution :/

If the resolution isn't at 100% or any whole multiple of it (200%, 300%, etc), then the sprites are sure to be blurred or anti-aliased. Obviously the best choice is 100%, that'll give you the sprites at their proper resolution.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford
Followed the advice: now it's working!

Thank you all #bows# now I can fill the Pulseman section with a few more things...

Roms are more of a "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" deal.

As for ripping from NO$GBA, I'm not exactly sure what your getting at, 2.6a? 2.7?
