it's been postponed but it was supposed to start today. this is OPEN BETA everyone who applies will be accepted so as long as your computer can run it it you can play
just bringing this to yalls attention :-)
you need to make a SquareEnix accont though, and if you plan on actually playing FFXIV and have ever played FFXI you should link your old FFXI account to your SE account. you get perks (exclusive items etc) if you have an FFXI account linked to your SE one when you sign up for open beta.
the installer is ready for download but im not sure if the game is until the beta actually launches becuase when i tried to use my old installer is just freezes up (currently dling the new one)
