Smeargle looks off-balance and his right eye is weird.

I don't like Absol. His shading looks awfully lumpy and his colors look like they need more contrast. His head looks too long, too, and your outlines look TOO consistent, giving the entire sprite a fairly cheap look.

Just a note, I'll do the other 4 and trainer before starting to apply your crit, I want to have the brute sprites done first, and after that perfected. But thanks for your crits dudes, they will eventually be used Big Grin

To respond a little more individually-

Yutaka- I'm going to revamp the pose entirely, Smeargle nromally always holds the paintbrushtail. I was trying to reverse the normal Smeargle pose, but possible exaggerated. Thanks Big Grin
Metaru- most definitely it will :b
Gorsal- I know this is something awkward to ask, but could you show me in an edit a suggestion to fix the eye? since smeargle's head has an odd shape, I cant do a good eye. I'll tinker with it later, but a visual example would help.
Tyvon- The shading will be redone, particularly on the tail. I've been noted of the contrast elsewhere, I'll try to use a Sonic pallette instead of the pokemon one. and I suppose you mean that there is too much gray outline? I'll look into that. as for the head, it's not quite sugimori-esque,. but these are more based on how I draw them. Still, I'll see what I can do.

it would be smarter to stick to the pokemon palette(if using a preset palette is the way to go), and instead learn to not outline everything but instead use some subtle shadows to define every shape where it could be necesary, so the wholesprite wouldn't look so cluttered. an example would be the head itself.

The style reminds me sort of Super Mario Worldish. Kind of primitive but its a place to start.
