I'm feeling a little adventurous, so I'm gonna be switching up my team for Kanto... unfortunately, that means leveling up some Pokemon through exp sharing through the Elite Four several times. Here's the PLANNED lineup:

Sceptile (Who I don't even any of his family yet)

the only reason team rockets plans failed was because gold went back to the past on defeated giovanni- stopping him from aiding team rocket and inadvertently allowing himself to save the radio tower and the johto region.

I got the 10th Anniversary Celebi to start the event, I don't know how.

You can activate the event by

Having Celebi as the first member of your party and going to the Ilex Forest Temple, which you might recognize if you got the Spikey-Eared Pichu. Pressing A at the temple SHOULD make your friend from New Bark Town show up, and the event will begin.

10th aniv wont activate no matter what you do. i'm hosting the event one again if you guys want it. it's 10th aniv but its got the flag that activates the event on it
