Okay... I'm working on an enemy for that game with the character with the hammer... and it's bad. I need some help on this one...

See, the thing is, is that I'm not so good with spriting humans, especially females.

Anyone know any tutorials or anything that might help?

Also, it's a robot. He hands turn into machine guns or some shit. Or just some plain old C+C. Only reason I asked about tutorials is because I learn better visually than verbally.

You really know how too shade perfectly, because the sprite looks kickass. Me, I shade horribly and it makes the sprite I made, look like crap.
Well beyond me, your doing a excellent job.

I don't see any problems with it aside from leaning too far forward.

Main problem I have is with limbs and not making them too thick or noodley. I wnt her to stand all straight and propper, but at the same time i don't want the legs to be too stiff.

She's meant to be more human like, so I want it to look more natural.

here's two characters in the Phoenix Wright series that would fall under the "straight and proper" category

don't worry; none of them are plot-destroying character sheets, so there shouldn't be any issues with spoilers or anything

BUT ANYWAY

they should give you some concepts and references on what you're looking for

Ah, those will be of use. I'm still stumped on how to do the legs though. It seems like, to me, that the legs should be together... I can't really explain it however.

perhaps, when you do more frames for her, you could go for making her motions more reserved? like, she doesn't get any exaggerated poses or flashy moves or anything. that can help create a robotic look while still not being stiff in a design sense. it's characterization through movement.

See, the thing is, is that I don't want her to be robotic. I want her to look human, and act human. Only thing robotic will be her hands turning into machine guns, and maybe exploding when defeated.
