Pokemon, what happened to you?

I highly agree.

They should also make it less linear, have an actual world map, and have actual catchable wild pokemon.

I thought that too, but Lake of Rage has a ton of Gyarados in it, and since red Gyarados is his shiny color, it could just be another one. If anything, 2 is a little after 4 because I remember reading somewhere that in HG/SS's Arceus event, you see Cynthia and she states that she was the Pokemon champion. If this is true then that means that it would take place a bit after 4.

this is not likely at all, if cynthia states she was champion then it would be BEFORE 4 since you become champ AFTER that. and another red gyarados? thats just dumb, the red gyarados got his color because team rocket used a radio signal that alternated his color, seeing a simple shiny and not referencing that (along with the other shitload of gen 2 references in dppt) would be silly.

sinnoh is the last region as of right now in terms of ingame timeline.
Yes, she WAS champion, but then she was defeated, so it would be after 4. Also, how is another red Gyarados dumb? Look at the freakin sprite sheets, that is his shiny color which means there can be more than one, the fact that the one team rocket evolved was red was nothing more that a coincidence or side effect that made it shiny.

I actually believed what Subomi stated on the reason of the gyaradoss colour was from the game or anime

I know it was. My point however is that if you were to look in the Lake of Rage long enough, you would eventually find a red gyarados that is not related to team rocket. So the one referred to in D/P/Pl could either be a wild shiny Gyarados, or a hint that Team Rocket evolved the Magikarp prior to the events of HG/SS.

Not having wild Pokémon was one of the plot points for the region - it was addressed in the sequel. The environment's too shitty for most Pokémon to be wandering around, so they all pretty much all piled into specific remote locations. Until they were discovered (and subsequently commercialised; which is a bit cruel, really); the region had a thriving market in importing Pokémon from outside the region.

Which was considerably better IMO; it straightened out a lot of things.

I hated the sequel, 1. You were an average kid again, instead of a suave, bad ass hero. 2. Didn't have that awsome underground dog fights feel to it like Colosseum did. 3. Villians were not even close to the bad ass level as Colosseum.

but the fact that they said "LAKE OF RAGE" is a straight forward reference to the red gyarados that got involved with team rocket, if it was just referencing a shiny they couldve just said anywhere else, hence why i said it was silly. not even talking timeline here, they WERE referencing that.

also i see your point on cynthia, since the event can take place at any time.

Well yeah, it's obviously a reference, but like I said (Or at least I thought I did) I don't think they actually say when the red Gyarados was "made". So it (it being the team rocket one) could have been there for some time, long enough at least for a camera crew to show up and film it.

Actually, that, along with Cynthia traveling somewhere involving myths about pokemon from her region (which means that she's most likely still has the legendary dragon trio on the mind after team galactic events) most likely means that the 2nd gen and 4th gen start around the same time.

Hey, didn't Miror B. have some little minion you could fight as an optional mini boss in the first or second game? I think his name was Minor B. Didn't he have some remic of Miror's theme?

Also I'm going to mention that the chance of you finding another red gyrados is about a 1/8000 like it is with any shiny pokemon.

You're talking about Mirakle B. he was from the first game and all his music was really just some higher pitched version of Mirror B's music, far as I remember.

I know, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still possible.

Nope, the Afro guy is Mirror B.

I've only played the first one and I've encounter afro man and his name is Mirror B. Infact I don't remember anyone named Mirakle B. at all.

Also more proof on that Afro man is Mirror B.
