Thanks. I was especially concerned about the pipe since I didn't really apply any style of color transition (anything I tried seemed to kill the smooth texture I was going for.)

That was my main goal. I figured that when I got more resolution I could either add detail or smooth and polish it out, and I chose the latter.

Though I did try at least some detail (like the brick block.)

If not the first good high-res Mario tileset-in-progress I've ever seen, by far the best. Stinkin' develop it more.

Not a fan of the grass or the mushrooms. Aside from the blocks, everything needs more depth.
