Actually, that is not the case. Type-A's option motion-blurs, for example, get longer depending on how powerful the ship is.

Also, trying out WolfMAME Plus! 0.99, which has savestate support for Cave first-gen hardware! Strange how that all but disappeared in later MAME versions.
