Exactly what Gors said. This is why I don't get people who refuse to use proper code editors. Having a program that brings up code completion, automatically indents, and can generate chunks of code for you is objectively better. Using Notepad might feel more h4xx0rz but it reduces your productivity and quality.
It's the same thing for spriting. If GraphicsGale or Aseprite can do things in 2 minutes that would take you 20 in Paint, with the same end result, then using them is overall better.
