Speed vs Strength

A common dilemma in the world of fighting, but also an interesting discussion topic.  Say we have two fighters, Muscles McGoo and Speedy Spud.

Muscles McGoo excels in the areas of brute strength and fortitude.  He can deal devastating attacks with each blow, and can take many blows and shrug them off as if they were nothing.  He isn't very swift, however, and is below average in that department.

Speedy Spud excels in the areas of speed, evasion and flexibility.  He can dodge every attack coming at him, and do so with finesse.  He isn't very strong, however, and is below average in that department.

Given these two fighting entities, who do you think would win, if at all, or do you think it'd end in a stalemate.  Why?
