Oh, compared to other Special Zones up to that point? Most certainly. For the most part, rings are usually set in lines of 8-10 each, and you're bound to get double the requirement for the Emeralds if you play your cards right. Literally, the tougher part is entering the Special Zone itself. There's almost no challenge otherwise.
That's the Genesis/MD version, though. The Saturn version, like I said, swaps that for something bigger and MUCH more challenging.
And hey, no shame in stating what ya like. I myself am partial to some Sonic games the rest of the audience usually just scoffs at. I feel 3D Blast can be a fun experience, just... well, not for everybody. Certainly not for series purists.
Then again, barely anything satisfies those people nowadays. Tch.
