I don't know that much about the other versions, but from my knowledge, Cave Story Plus for the PC is the way to play Cave Story. You can get it for $9.99 on Steam. Plus (no pun intended), I have Cave Story Plus, and it has all kinds of great bonuses that (from my knowledge) aren't available on the other versions (except for Curly Story, which I hear is a feature on the WiiWare version too).
