So basically, what I'm getting from this thread is that SSB4 on Wii U is a huge disappointment.

That's sad.   But I'll still ask for it on Christmas anyway.

It really isn't, it's stupidly fantastic. I think some people like with Destiny get too hyped and you're just setting yourself up for disappointment if you do that. It's a real fun game, there's plenty of fun stuff to do. Some of the changes such as to Classic are a little puzzling, but it hardly ruins the game. The character additions are all really rad as well.
