pardon my extreme naivete tho but do people actually do this on social media? ("i dont like kids, i'm an EPHEBOPHILE!! GET IT RIGHT") i would think admitting something like this publicly (on social media, especially) is shooting yourself in the foot

Yep, it's the only time I ever see it used. People use the term and try to argue that it's somehow makes them superior to pedophiles, and they shouldn't be lumped in with those kind of people and that what they're doing isn't as bad
