Well, if unexpected is actually true, and not just:
Playable Tingle or other high profile but not normally playable characters...
(Although a great fairy would be neat)

Time to throw out a random few (Highly unlikely) names:
Shyguy Dimetri (from Links awakening) (Playable Dodongo? Yes Please)
Darknut (any version)
Helmet head (Zelda II)
Blind the thief (Would be neat to have a human form to match the monster, even if the time period doesn't match.)
Sharp and Flat (OoT/MM)
Dead Hand (Oot) Alt. A differeent form of Bongo Bongo.

More likely we'll get people like Tingle, groose, maybe din, nayru and farore.
