Out of curiosity, how were you doing it before?
If you were using a different javascript file there's probably some clues in there on how to output it in a way you can use.
Annoyingly I'm pretty sure I used to have a .js file hanging around that did exactly what you're after (with a little tweaking) but that's long gone after so many reinstalls and system changes.
