Animal crossing does have tons of nintendo references to begin with, so that makes sense. I thought it was more Villager also represented the Mii games though.

Don't forget that the Gamecube version had all those NES games you could get (and play)!

I only have played city folk and found out I'm really not a fan of the series. So it's not something I could forget since I never knew that in the first place. But that makes it even more suitible, so its a nice factiod to know.
