What style are you going for exactly? Realistic or cartoony? I feel as though you yourself don't know.
If you want to take the realistic side, you really need to look at some references. ( <--- Broken Record)
But a more cartoony approach can withstand over/under exaggerated characteristics. A giant upper body can have a very small loower body. It's all about what you're going for. Look around for some styles you would be interested in and try to emulate them in your own art
