My intention was to make something that is more-or-less like your edit, but limbs aren't really what I'm best at. I'll see what I can do with the third shade of brown, too. It IS pretty dark, isn't it?

Also, just out of curiousity, why did you mirror the sprite? Is it easier for you to sprite things that are turned to the left, or something like that?
