Why has TSR apparently 'turned to shit?'

Here's the situation;
There was nothing wrong with Spamhaul. It was fine, it was fun. To us.
To any outsider, the attitude in Spamhaul (chaotic, racist & misogynistic for laughs) was taken to be the general attitude of TSR as a whole. Because of the outside perception, other sites want nothing to do with us. We don't want people to get the wrong perception of us, so we had to get rid of Spamhaul to make the site more accessible. That's it in a nutshell. It sucks, but it needed to happen.

fuck them. we aren't them. we don't need to live up to their fucking standards.

That doesn't mean the community shouldn't be unwelcoming to new members.
