roihu3M's Sprite Parlor

Whew, it's been a while since my previous project. First of all, I improved some technical stuff, like doing a rewrite of my photoshop scripts and making a small tool to generate palette swaps from MAME screenshots. Going to improve the functionality for future projects or maybe even for public release.


So, Puzzle Uo Poko, an arcade puzzle made by CAVE and published by Jaleco. I mostly wanted to get sprites for playable characters (especially that rather brutal game over screen), maybe I'll return and grab some other assets outta here. One thing worth mentioning is that this game stores a good half of graphics data in 16x1 tiles, like this:

Wasn't much of a pain to get rid of the gaps though, but scripts took a while to finish it nonetheless.

Next is either Saboten Bombers or something old, fast and easy like Time Tunnel.
