The Code Resource?

I tried searching if anyone else had this idea, but didn't find anything, so I am suggesting it here. What if there was a Code Resource for source code extracted from games? It would be useful for developers to see how their favorite games work, and they can work on modifying it to improve said games. 
Just an idea... maybe?
