I'm glad to hear that! I'm curious, what styles do you like? I'm a big fan of the Jump Ultimate Stars style as well as the Tales of the World style myself.

While my favorite styles are some that I've never worked with, I could definitely mention Owlboy's or Chrono Trigger, in styles I've already worked with, definitely Classic Mega Man or VVVVVV, as simple as those are it's pretty fun to make stuff for those.

Yeah the Chrono Trigger style is super cool! I really need to work with it some more, the only thing I've made with it so far is an idle battle sprite of Kid. I haven't played Owl Boy yet, but those sprites are tight! You can tell a lot of love and care went into them. No wonder the game took so long to make.

Simple styles are a lot of fun to work with! Its fun figuring out how to convey everything you need to convey with them. They also force you to think about what is important about the character you are working on. You get to figure what aspects of the characters' design is critical and what can be left out. My go to simple styles are Super Mario Maker and a modified style based off of the GBC Legend of Zelda games. I say Zelda, but to be fair, a lot of other games have the same or at least a very similar style.
