As for Super Mario 2? Most of the characters from that game (mainly Shy Guy and Birdo) are staples of the mainline Mario games. That game never had any followup that played in that style, so it'd be redundant to just make a section dedicated to that one game.

I MIGHT consider splitting Mario up into heroes/villains some time down the road, but there's not an easy way to do this, and there are a lot in the "neither" category that would have no home.
