Gang Wars - doubled columns of pixels
#1
Hello! I've been working on ripping some sprites for the arcade game Gang Wars, and recently uploaded a sheet for one of the bosses. Since then, I've realized that the game does a thing where it copies columns of pixels at several points on the screen, which ends up warping the sprites of characters as they walk through those areas. As far as I can tell this is unique to the game rather than my capture setup (at least, other games I've tested out don't do it).

I've started editing the doubled columns out, but I wanted to ask if I should be doing that. The sprites definitely look better edited in that way, and I think that's how they're "supposed" to look, but then I started overthinking that if the sprites can look that way in the game then I shouldn't change them. What do you all think? Should I post a revision of the sheet I contributed with these edits?

For reference, here's a picture of that boss with the doubled columns and without.
