Oracle of Time
#1
So for the past several days, I've been playing Ocarina of Time Randomized, and during class today was trying to think through how several enemies from OoT would work in a graphical style like that of LA or the Oracle games. So imagine my surprise when I got back from class to discover an LA remake was in the works. Anyways, that strengthened my resolve to actually try. Here's what I have so far: Deku Baba, Redead, Octorok, Gerudo guard, and Guay.

In keeping with the graphics style (and for hacking potential), I have changed Baba's stem to being segmented, akin to the Pincer enemies that hide in holes. The red Baba is intended to represent the "withered" ones.

Redead has two "at rest" positions (just like in the game), and I gave it a walking animation akin to GB/C Gibdos (but not actually drawn from that, wholly freestyle). I suppose I'll use the lower-headed ones (which were the original ones I drew) as "attacking" poses.

Octorok is a straightforward edit to adapt its slightly-different design and water basis. It has a single "surfacing" sprite common to all directions, and then a surface and "jumping" sprite for each.

With the Gerudo, the spear changes hands in the left/right facing ones, but stays specifically in the left hand otherwise. The two sprites on the end are the stunned poses.

The Guay I made to be very simple, as it seemed like an enemy that would only face left and right, like Ghini in the GB/C games.

Now, these sprites too are a work in progress, so I may revise them at some point.

Anyways, should I continue with this enough to make a full sheet?
