The colours are definitely coming a long a lot better, i would say to have a bit more contrast between your highlights and other shades however, as right now your lightest shade is a little too close to your base colour, in my opinion. The readability is definitely improved fro mthe cell sprite, but it seems like your lack of contrast is a major issue, as i THINK the body is shaded but can't quite tell.
