Ripping audio from Kingdom Hearts.
#3
I might have a solution to your inquiry. I will give you a step by step guideline on how it is done from my perspective.

You would need QuickBMS, an ISO of Kingdom Heart and a VAG_scanner.bms script found here: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=...263#p43263 (Copy the text underneath "Code:" then paste it on your Notepad program and save it as VAG_scanner.bms be sure to change the "Save as type:" from "Txt" to "All files" to make it a BMS script).

Step 1) Download an ISO of Kingdom hearts (Google will help you with that).

Step 2) After downloading the ISO, use QuickBMS with the VAG_Scanner.bms script to scan and extract .VAG files which are commonly used for audio on PS2 games. (Be sure to have the Output folder somewhere you can find it easily). Now, they will be just headless files so you need to make them known as .VAG to convert them properly.

Step 3) Once the files are extracted, go to where they are stored, click on "Organize" on the upper left corner of your windows explorer and then click on "Folder and search options. After the Folder Options box appears, click on the "view" tab and then in the Advanced settings section, unchecked the box with the words: "Hide extensions for known file types" This will allow you to change the headless files to .VAG by just renaming the file with .VAG at the end. (Do note that it will be an EXTREMELY tedious task to do it one at a time, so hang in there)!

Step 4) After going through the ordeal of making the files into .VAG files, you will need to install foobar2000 and then apply vgmstream components to it so that the program can play those files.

Final step) Right click on a .VAG file, select "open with" and choose foobar2000 as the default program for .VAG files. Once that's done, drag and highlight all the files, right click and open with foobar2000 to play it all, right click on the playlist, scroll down to "convert" and then click on "default". That will convert all the .VAG files into .WAV files.

Hope this answers your inquiry. If you have any issues, let me know.
P.S. You won't get file accurate file names, just Vag with numbers.
