True. Originally there wasn't as much pairing fanart for Wendy and Mario back in the day. Until Color Splash got leaked and now people wanna ship Wendy with Mario because now she prefers Mario over Bowser any day of the week. lol
Some people can be jerks! It kinda reminds me of how Pinky from the Pac-Man World games had a crush on Pac-Man and she got mad when Pac-Man is married to another.
Even the new Pac-Man show has referenced that and much more!
Some people will say crap just to not see two pairings exist because it's non-canon.
