Well...it's kind of like how from G/S/C onwards, they just give you the legendaries. Forget traveling the world and discovering them yourself like in the Gen I games, you have a fateful storybound encounter, and will have a 100% opportunity and chance to get them, given you normally have the Master Ball by that point in the game. So, it's not going to prevent people plowing through the game with legendaries anymore than it has in the past (assuming it's pre-League content)...except people have the choice not to do that. I never use legendaries on my team. Always use my favorite normal Pokemon I come across, with Lanturn being my main, since it's the best Pokemon all around .
