Screenshotting question

Nu-uh. I've checked it as well and I see what T0misaurus means. Just take a look at the sword - paintbucked some of the clusters ro the right of the sword and you'll see how there's a band of slightly miscoloured pixels next to it. The same applies to many other parts of the whole image and not only between sprites and backgrounds, but already withing single sprites.
It's only a teeny-tiny difference of one or more of the 8-bit colour channels being one step of. So it most likely isn't part of the game (you can't have such fine differences with lower colour resolutions).
Now one could argue that it's not visible, but it makes erasing backgrounds more work and the ripped sprites will be slightly off due to the colour mishaps within - not visibly, but technically.
I have no idea what may be causing this, though.

Does it happen with the emulators built-in screenshot utility, too (of it has one)? Or what about other programs?

You could try screenshotting this for example:
