i finally found out why the sounds are so choppy when played in psound. the game uses an adpcm sound format and it requires the correct interleave to be able to play the sound effects properly. i used a program called "adpcm player v1.44h" to load the sounds in the ps2.rkv file. hopefully i can find the right interleave for the sound effects to make them play perfectly.
