the challenge idea was really adapt a sprite into something new; everything else was just flavor. these kind of competitions don't have to be hard, and can be a lot more free form than others. I'll leave it up until 11:59 my time tonight, and then decide the winner.
Really though, I wanted to get the artists here thinking again! "What is pixelart?" "How is pixelart different from a piece of art with pixels?" Which I think some of you are on the track to understanding better.
It doesn't matter if you're one of those persons that still isn't. The thing about art isn't that you try and fail, it's that you should never fail to try.
