Hi kimohno, most of the models in this site are in obj or dae format and all of them are supported by Cinema4d without great problems.
Obj models are simply static mesh instead .dae model already have bones, etc. Anyway u can easly apply weights and bones on the obj meshes (if u obviously konw how
to do it in your 3d application) then u can animate them. The "not rigged" models in this forum are mainly in t-pose so u can rigg them without problems.

If u have problem with the mesh visulisation in Cinema4d is probably because u don't know this program enough. The wrong visualization of the mesh in cinema is probably due to a problem with the normals of the mesh. So...go in the right panel of cinema where there is the list of the model parts and delete only the normals
