Yeah, the whole NEWCOMER thing is just a silly Smash Bros. thing I saw other people do here with their introductions and though "oh what the hell".
On the other hand, I am contemplating using the SMT method of talking to mons before/during battle in order to recruit them or other things, and perhaps a Law/Neutral/Chaos alignment system, because good/neutral/evil alignment systems are so overdone these days.
