Let's Write in Iambic Pentameter!
Note: The 'iamb' is a type of rhythm used in writing. It's two beats (usually matched with two syllables) where the first is weak, and the second stressed.
Ba-Bam.
Writing something in 'iambics' means the stress on syllables is repeated.
Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam.
'Penta' means 'five', so writing in Iambic Pentameter is writing lines of 5 iambs - or 10 beats per line.
Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam Ba-Bam
A lot of poetry and old plays do it; the iambic pentameter has been a part of English literature for centuries!
As general practice for myself, I made up some random iambic lines and couplets, along with a few stanzas for English homework (Which I don't have, cuz I gave it in... shit. I'll post it when I get it back.). Feel free to try your own too. After you do a few, the beat comes naturally. So try your best, and don't give up - go on!

This book will help me with my writing skills.

The window does not open! What a drag.
His fart will slowly, surely kill us all.

My name is mike, how can I help today?

Fun or sleep, which will make me more wise?
Geniuses all seem to look tired.

It's mad; this gets easier as I go...

On holiday, I surely will sunburn,
But not if I stay in the house and read.

His smile has always vitalised my soul.
