i hate it when people say that, the time system is what makes majora's mask the MOST FUN and actually gives it that "you don't have all the time in the world" feeling that you're SUPPOSED to feel in adventure games.
i mean seriously, you could play a game for an entire year and never finish it
what the fuck is the boss doing ? oh he's just chillin and waiting for you, no big whoop. that's not how it is.
while your ass is chillin and fuckin around, the boss is fuckin shit up and getting closer to his goal. you fuck around too much? the planet is fucked. that's the real shit.

and besides, if you're looking for 100% completion or if you think the game goes by too fast, BOOM inverted song of time. that gives you all the time you fuckin need.
but OH SHIT I JUST FUCKED UP ONE OF MY GOALS
BOOM song of time. now go do that shit again.

it's an awesome concept that people can't get into because they fuckin suck at video games and only want the same thing

oh, btw; the time system is GONE when you actually get to the moon and the inside of the moon is literally (literally) the most epic experience i have EVER gone through in a zelda game. or probably any game for that matter. i was honestly completely blown away when i got to it. it was so amazing.
spoiler: you have to give these little boys wearing masks every mask you collect in the game in order to "play with them" and then you get sent to an obstacle course, and your reward of completing those courses and losing all your masks is getting the FIERCE DEITY MASK when you fight majora's mask. you basically turn into a juiced-up adult link with a ridiculous amount of power who shoots lasers from his sword. THAT IS FUCKIN TIGHT. why can't other games make you lose everything so you can get the best item in the game? oh, and before people say "so not an equal tradeoff", you get to keep it after you win. and then you can use it to rematch bosses.
oh, and did i mention that you can rematch bosses by going back in time. FUCKING AWESOME. a feature that i wish existed in every game.

majora's mask was so intricately well-planned, and it's a shame that none of the new games can be as amazing as it was. i would kill for another adventure that worked the same way.
