A tip though, ask yourself "what does this RPG have that makes it different than the rest?" SMRPG has its timed hits; EB has its quirky humor and HP counter; Final Fantasy has classes to customize along with the game... What element in this game makes it interesting for other players?
If you have a solid idea of how to entertain people, then you have a good chance of making a good game.
