Screenshotting question

Similar to Previous's suggestion, you may have a filter on. Of course it depends on the emulator you're using, but some emulators like VBA have visual filters you can enable that can "improve" how the game looks, usually by anti-aliasing.
I'd say check out your graphics settings, and set them to the most natural settings you can find ("no filter", etc).
